Shobhit joined the volunteer team of PMI APAC’s Disciplined Agile Special Interest Group (DASIG) team as a Content Curator in May 2023.


He is a management research scholar pursuing a full-time Ph.D. at the joint degree award program of Monash University (Australia) and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India). His PMI-sponsored thesis research focuses on the role of cognitive biases in project decision-making. Before his Ph.D. studies, he had around a decade of professional experience, with stints in MNCs, including IBM, Cognizant, and Infosys, as part of global delivery teams in IT consulting and service management roles. 


Shobhit has been a PMI member since 2013. After joining the PMI Melbourne Chapter in August 2022, he has participated in several chapter initiatives, including Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) and Project Management for Life (PM4L). 


Shobhit is PMP® and ITIL® certified and holds a Master’s degree with a specialization in Quality Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India). He is also an electronics engineering graduate. Volunteering with the DASIG enables him to explore the latest developments in agile project delivery approaches and connect with subject matter experts.
