Dr. Jacky Ting

Dr. Jacky Ting is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on AI, big data, engineering management, and project management. With over 15 years of experience leading digital transformation and AI initiatives across business and technology domains, he has held senior roles in innovation and digital solutions at organizations including AS Watson Group, Cognizant Technology Solutions, and PCCW Solutions, working with emerging technologies such as AI, big data analytics, Web3, metaverse, interactive solutions, and IoT.
He obtained his PhD from PolyU in 2011 in AI, medical informatics, and data mining, and his AI innovation work has received international recognition, including the Gold Stevie® Award as AI Rising Star of the Year, Silver Stevie® for AI Innovator of the Year, a Gold Medal with Jury Congratulations at the 51st Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2026, and Silver Medals at Geneva in 2024 and 2025.
Dr. Ting serves as program accreditor and external examiner for multiple AI and digital transformation courses in Hong Kong, and is Executive Vice President of PMI Hong Kong Chapter and Vice Chairman of the InnoTech Education Committee at HKtag. He regularly judges major ICT awards, PMIHK student competitions, and international recognitions such as the Asia‑Pacific Stevie® Awards.
