Rowan Bunning

Rowan Bunning is an Australian pioneer of Scrum, becoming Australia’s first ScrumMaster in 2003 and subsequently its first Certified Scrum Practitioner and Certified Scrum Trainer®.
For more than 20 years, Rowan has helped organisations align their operating models, ways of working and culture with their business strategy. His work spans banking, financial services, media, healthcare and video games, and draws on deep expertise in Scrum, LeSS, Kanban, eXtreme Programming, leadership agility and organisational design.
Rowan is the founder and Managing Principal of boutique Agile consultancy Adapt WithStyle. His clients have included the Reserve Bank of Australia, Findex, Wargaming Sydney (now Riot Sydney), Fairfax Media (now Nine), Bupa and nib. Since 2008, he has led more than 560 Certified Scrum courses across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Southeast Asia, making him one of Australia’s most experienced Agile trainers.
Rowan holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney, which included study at leading business schools in Australia, France, India, the United States and Japan.
His current focus is the changing relationship between humans, organisations and AI. He founded Superwrk to help people develop the judgement needed to use AI effectively, critically and responsibly, with a particular focus on strengthening the human-in-the-loop.
